WordPress File Manager is an AI-powered advanced file manager for WordPress, built to give developers a more capable way to inspect, navigate, and manage theme and plugin files directly from the WordPress admin.
The project combines a VS Code-inspired interface with WordPress file management workflows, making it easier to browse directories, open files, review code, and work across plugin/theme structures without leaving the dashboard.
The goal was to create a more developer-focused admin tool that improves the default WordPress file editing experience with a cleaner UI, better navigation, and AI-assisted workflows for reviewing and working with code.
Built with PHP and JavaScript, the plugin is designed to run inside WordPress while keeping file operations controlled, admin-only, and aligned with WordPress security expectations.
